Tasks:

  • Develop new user-facing and backend features
  • Detail-design and development of high level development concepts
  • Reporting bugs and incidents
  • Collaborate with other team members: developers, CTO and business site
  • Providing accurate timing estimates on work

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years relevant experience in PHP and JavaScript
  • Proficient knowledge of a php framework (Zend preferred)
  • Proactive, problem solving attitude
  • Fluent English communication skills both in verbal and written form
  • Basic SQL knowledge (we use MySQL)
  • Basic XML knowledge
  • Routine and confidence in using office software products such as MS Office
  • Adaptive attitude to a fast changing environment
  • Independent and self-directed work

Advantages:

  • BsC or MsC in IT or business/economics field
  • Technical knowledge/experience in electronic book formats (epub, mobi)
  • Knowledge in advanced web technologies, frameworks (PHP5, JQuery)

IT Operational Manager

We are ready to make the next steps with our new IT Operational Manager colleague in our awesome team.

Tasks:

  • Regular operational tasks in own IT system
  • Handling customer needs/incidents and escalation of them if necessary to developers
  • Drafting development needs and opportunities both to business and IT colleagues
  • Detail-design of high level development concepts
  • Doing and supporting UAT tests
  • Reporting bugs and incidents
  • Tracking developments from concept to go-live
  • Creating reports, handling and serving data requests

Requirements:

  • BsC or MsC in the following fields
    • business studies/economics with strong IT background and interest,
    • Business Information Technology
    • IT engineer with business interest
  • 1-2 years relevant experience, but graduates are welcomed too
  • proactive, problem solving attitude
  • excellent English communication skills both in verbal and written on an everyday basis
  • Basic SQL knowledge (we use MySQL)

Business Development Manager

Our platform has an increasing number of customer base and we are ready to make the next steps with our new Business Development colleague in our awesome team.

We need you if you are:

  • 5+ years experienced in B2B sales and business development
  • well-connected in the publishing industry

All of the other things are beneficial for both of us if you:

  • have any book industry experience/passion
  • don’t fear any challenges and like to travel
  • are a fun personality who likes to call and meet new people
  • are conscious, precise and willing to work and perform alone
  • have a good network and researching skills for finding the best customers
  • love publishers and understand their needs and pains and you know what they drink when they go out
  • have your own book written or passionate about reading and/or writing

Your job would include:

  • research the best business development options in the UK and the US – you will execute them as well
  • research the best books and publishers in the UK and in the US
  • engaging leads and prospective leads to work with PublishDrive
  • meeting many people, building relationships
  • negotiating intelligently with your charm and intelligent thoughts
  • taking part in book fairs polishing your networking and BD skills
  • establishing trust with target customers and act on what the customer is saying
  • calling and selling effectively on the phone, email, personal meetings
  • managing your pipeline like a portfolio in our CRM system
  • converting target numbers and engaging new partners as your KPIs
