PublishDrive, the self-publishing platform is hiring a new Author Success Coach to make publishing easy for even more authors and indie publishers!

As the Sales Representative you will be responsible for building relationships with existing and potential clients. Our ideal candidate possesses tremendous communication and negotiating skills, with proven success from either a publishing company or a tech startup in customer success. If you have experience in how to deepen customer relations and increase PublishDrive’s growth targets; and if you have a passion for books and creative industries, PublishDrive is the right place for you!


  • Analysing and developing authors’ pipeline
  • (Up)Selling products and services using solid arguments to authors
  • Calling and selling effectively on the phone, email, personal meetings
  • Managing your authors’ pipeline like a portfolio in our CRM system
  • Converting target numbers and engaging new partners
  • Performing cost-benefit analyses of existing and potential customers
  • Maintaining positive business relationships to ensure future sales
  • Reach out to customer leads
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Coordinate author success effort with team members and other departments
  • Analyse the potential of users, track sales and status reports
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Continuously improve through feedback


  • 1-2+ years experienced in either publishing or tech company
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent
  • conscious, precise and willing to work attitude with the ability to work both in teams and perform alone
  • passion to get the most out of our existing authors’ relationships with upselling opportunities
  • identification of new ‘Star Authors’ in our existing user base or potential clients to build a stronger relationship with them
  • you don’t fear any challenges and like to travel
  • you are a fun person who likes to call and meet new people
  • you have a knowledge of CRM systems and practices with ability to build productive business relationships
  • you are highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
  • prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • customer Service Skills
  • work language is English but any other language knowledge is an advantage

All of the other things are beneficial for both of us if you

  • live or lived in the US for a longer period
  • have experience working with US clients / customers /consumers
  • have any book industry experience/passion
  • love publishers and authors and understand their needs and pains
  • extra benefit if you know what they drink when they go out
  • you get the writers’ mindset and feelings – the better if you are or planning to be one of them

Location: flexible. Preferably the U.S. or Budapest, Europe
