We are ready to take the next steps with our new Payment Specialist colleague in our awesome team. Our new teammate will play a key role by being responsible for reports and payments for customers, employees and suppliers, collection of debts from stores, onboarding new suppliers, and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping. The payment specialist role requires close cooperation with the Finance Director and accounting teams, covering financial operations for both Hungarian and US-based entities. Proficiency in both English and Hungarian is essential for this position.

As a Payment Specialist you will be responsible for:

- Support day-to-day transactions such as office expenses, services, and payroll.

- Ensure that our company's financial health is maintained and resources are used beneficially.

- Record accounts payable and accounts receivable within our Hungarian entity.

- Provide administrative support during budget preparation in both entities.

- Prepare and update internal financial documentation within our Hungarian entity.

- Monitor and operate our finance platform, channeling royalty payments between stores and authors. This involves understanding store payment schedules and sales reports, ensuring that store royalty payments are always collected before being forwarded to clients. These processes are mainly automated but require continuous monitoring and the ability to handle edge cases within our USA-based entity.

- Process tax payments in Hungary and in the United States in both entities.

- Oversee customer payments, ensuring customer payment with bulk transfers generated from our platform and handle some edge-cases within our USA-based entity.

- Invoice stores: Create manual invoices for each store (around 40) after a monthly sales cycle using Quickbooks accounting software. This is a manual monthly task within our USA-based entity.

- Debt collection: In case of late invoicing/late royalty payments, accounts receivable tasks may need to be taken towards our stores. These tasks are in close cooperation with our Client Success Management team.

- Partner Validation: Occasionally help customers to reach a compliant status in our US-based entity. Approve or reject unique cases when they occur.

You are a perfect team member, if you have:

  • Proficiency in financial software and tools
  • Experience with MS excel, Google Sheets, presentation softwares, etc.
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics, balance sheets, profit & loss sheets and accounting principles
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Characteristics of ethical and honest, high integrity and trustworthiness

Advantages

  • Experience in working at a SaaS company before
  • Experience in working with Hungarian and/or US financial administration
  • Familiarity with international taxation regulations
  • Experience in effective remote working
  • Experience with Tipalti or similar payment automation platforms.
  • Knowledge of subscription-based business models.
