The Senior Maintenance and Support Engineer will be responsible for leading maintenance and support activities to ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of our systems. This role involves setting up the maintenance environment, conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting complex issues, and providing technical support to junior engineers, other departments, and clients. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintenance engineering, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

As a Senior Maintenance and Support Engineer, you will be responsible for:

System Maintenance and Support:

  • Set up and run applications and processes that ensure long-term reliable working of our applications and services
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement corrective actions.

Technical Expertise:

  • Provide expert-level support and guidance to junior maintenance engineers, the operation team, the development team, and technicians.
  • Develop and maintain detailed documentation of maintenance procedures and support activities.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to improve maintenance practices.

Client Support:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for escalated support issues from clients.
  • Keep contact with the operation and development team
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their technical issues and provide appropriate solutions.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely and efficient support.

Leadership:

  • Lead maintenance projects, including upgrades and installations of new systems and equipment.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Conduct safety audits and implement improvements to enhance workplace safety.
  • Train team members on safety protocols and best practices.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor system performance and generate reports to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement performance optimization strategies to enhance system efficiency.
  • Use data-driven insights to recommend upgrades and modifications.

You are a perfect team member, if you have:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in maintenance engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Startup experience

Skills:

  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software and diagnostic tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Business acumen - be able to understand and apply the business needs
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong database knowledge (SQL and NoSQL)

Certifications:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional - CMRP) are preferred.
