Amazon Advertising for Ebooks is Now Available through PublishDrive

Amazon’s Sponsored Products ads are among the most powerful marketing tools for authors who sell ebooks on Amazon. But the learning curve prevents many authors from ever taking advantage of this robust advertising tool.

Months ago, we set out to change that.

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve launched a built-in marketing feature that integrates Amazon advertising for ebooks.

Sign up now and try it!

Our team invested months of research into finding the best ways to simplify this tool for authors, and we are beyond excited to be the first self-publishing platform to integrate Amazon advertising for ebooks. Now authors can manage global ebook distribution and powerful advertising in a single platform.

Until the end of March 2019, beta-testing of this feature is available to all PublishDrive users who sell ebooks on Amazon. This means you can use the tool even if you distribute directly to Amazon rather than going through PublishDrive.

Learn more about Sponsored Products ads below and discover how easy it is to get started thanks to our new feature.

What are Amazon’s Sponsored Products Ads?

Amazon’s Sponsored Products are cost-per-click ads for individual product listings that appear on product pages and search results throughout Amazon’s website. If you’ve ever been browsing for a new book on Amazon, then you’ve seen Sponsored Products. They look like regular book product listings, but they have a little tag that says “Sponsored.”

The great thing about Sponsored Products is that they directly target readers who:

  1. Already love the genre you write in
  2. Are primed to buy

This is what makes them such an effective tool for boosting sales and expanding your readership, even if you write in a crowded genre. Sponsored Products ads are also cost-effective. Since they’re cost-per-click, you only pay when a reader clicks on your promoted book.

Managing Amazon Advertising Campaigns on PublishDrive

Our new built-in tool makes it super easy to get up and running with your first campaign.

Here’s how it works:

Step One: Fund Your Marketing Budget and Select Your Book

You’ll need to fund your marketing budget before getting started. The process is simple: you can either make a deposit with PayPal or a credit card, or you can transfer money from your book earnings.

Next, select the book you want to promote. If you’re using the beta-testing version and you don’t distribute to Amazon via Publishdrive, upload your book as a draft. Don’t worry, it won’t be published. This just gives us the information needed to link your ad to the ebook’s live product page on Amazon.
