XinXii is a German distributor able to open new foreign distribution channels even for experienced authors.

If authors also want to have their titles distributed by the platform to other resellers, they pay a commission fee of 15%.
- Royalties range between 70% for €2.94 and up to 40% for listings between €0.99 - €1.98 to 85%. Royalties are paid once the minimum threshold of €20 ($27) is reached. Once the request is made, the money is transferred at the end of the following month.

- Royalties are 90% for ebooks and 80% for others of Gross Profit.

- Fees: Free setup; as of July 1, 2023, they added a market access fee for every print book sold through Ingram's Global Distribution network. The fee consists of 1% of the list price of the title sold.
- Royalties may go up to a maximum of 70%, but in order for your book to be available for bookstores, your royalty rate needs to be set at 47%.
- Sales reports are monthly.

Most ebook aggregators use a royalty share model, which doesn’t require upfront fees and allows authors to pay as they earn. At first glance, royalty share pricing seems like a great option.
But it turns out that subscription-based ebook distribution is a much more profitable option. In fact, authors can boost their take-home royalties by about 14% with subscription pricing. Here is why:
- Aggregators calculate royalties based on the sale price. This means the price of its distribution service depends on the money paid by the final customer, not the royalties you receive.
- Most authors don’t realize how much they've paid because of the consolidated payments they receive. The amount you receive from an aggregator is already decreased by the amount you paid for their service.
With fixed monthly prices, you keep all your royalties from all stores. You are earning the same royalties as you would by going directly to these stores.
Additionally, you are
- Saving time, as you are distributing in a click, not by enlisting your books manually in each store.
- Collecting royalties by accessing retailers that would not have otherwise allowed direct sign-ups from indie authors.
How to Switch from Publishing Directly to Using PublishDrive
If you’ve made your decision and you’re ready to switch to PublishDrive, here’s your step-by-step guide:
Step one: Withdraw your books directly from retailers
First, you’ll need to remove your books from all retailers where you’re currently distributing directly. Keep in mind that each retailer has different timeframes for withdrawing titles. This is what you can expect from the major retailers:
- Amazon: up to 48 hours
- Apple Books: up to 48 hours
- Google Play Books: up to 48 hours
- Kobo: 3-5 business days
Contact the store’s support team if your books haven’t been removed from sale after the above timeframes.
Step two: Unpublish any books distributed through other aggregators
You’ll need to unpublish any titles that are currently distributed through other aggregators before uploading them to PublishDrive. To do so, log in to your account and remove the books from your dashboard.
If the books are still live after about a week, contact the aggregator’s support team.
Step three: Sign up for PublishDrive and distribute your books
Once you’ve confirmed that your books are no longer listed through other retailers or aggregators, you’re good to go.
Sign up for an account at PublishDrive and upload your book. If you have a large backlist, we have a bulk upload option that allows you to upload many titles at once.

- What if I currently use PD for some stores and publish directly to major retailers at the same time? How can I distribute everything through PD?
Just follow steps 1 and 2 mentioned above. Once you’ve confirmed that your books are no longer listed through other retailers or aggregators, you can turn on distribution for all channels through PublishDrive.
To do so, navigate to Stores and Imprints in your PublishDrive dashboard, and activate all stores.
